Mukteshwar is a hill town in the state of Uttarakhand. It is perched at an altitude of 2171 metres above sea level. Located 51 km from Nainital, Mukteshwar has become a popular tourist destination in India. The months between March and June are considered the best time to visit Mukhteshwar. Mukteshwar Temple


A 350-year-old temple dedicated to the deity Shiva, Muteshwar Temple sits on top of a hill. As one reaches the landmark, they are exposed to the magnificent vistas of the majestic Nanda Devi mountain, the second-highest peak in India. The Shiva Linga that rests here is made of white marble and a copper yoni and houses Vishnu and Brahma idols. This temple has to be one of the places to visit in Mukteshwar.

Waterfalls


Mukteshwar is home to a myriad of stunning waterfalls. Some of these waterfalls are encapsulated between forest covers and rocks. The water gets collected in a small pond where you can relax and go for a swim. Tarikhet Waterfalls, the Bhalu Ghaad, the Dhokaney Waterfall and the Rudradhari Waterfall are some of the well-known waterfalls that you can visit in Mukteshwar.
